Thirteen North: Connected
Connected is a multidimensional performance from vibrant new Scottish string ensemble Thirteen North – exploring human connection through the themes of generations, culture and tradition.
The evening will include three new commissions by folk-influenced Scottish composers Pàdruig Morrison, Pippa Murphy and Catriona Price alongside an existing masterpiece – Bartók’s dynamic Hungarian-folk-fuelled Divertimento for Strings.
The performance will also include three short films, created by Glasgow-based filmmaker Bircan Birol in response to the music, giving an insight into the themes and inspiration for each piece of new music.
Support from Gaia Duo.
